Day 2 of our trip to the Peak District took us over The Roaches in the rain then to Lud's Church and along the River Dane to the Ramshaw Rocks before returning to the cars. Many thanks to Chris for organising some excellent walks.

Another good group walk led by Gill today from Cosgrove over to Passenham and back along the canal and through the horse tunnel to Cosgrove. Followed by chat in the garden at The Barley Mow.

Today's walk from Turvey, led by Ann, was the Northampton group's contribution to the Beds Festival of Autumn Walks. It was nice to meet some Bedfordshire Ramblers who joined us for the walk. We walked to Stevington, Pavenham and Carlton with a lunch stop in the cafe at the Emmaus Village.

Charles couldn't resist the 1000 piece puzzle in the Emmaus charity shop and carried it for the afternoon!

Today thirteen of us walked thirteen miles from Great Horwood through Little Horwood and Swanbourne to our lunch stop at The Bell in Winslow. The afternoon route took us past Addington Stud and back to Great Horwood.

Thank you Gill for the enjoyable walk from Great Doddington which included passing Hardwater Mill and was followed by lunch at The Stag's Head.

Fifteen of us headed firstly to Edge Hill to admire the beautiful view.
We then continued along the hilly, varied route taking in the pretty villages of Ratley,
Warmington, Mollington (with our lunch stop at the quirky 'Green Man' pub), Shotteswell and Hornton.
We were treated to a dry and sunny day of walking which gave lots of picturesque views.

A bit of a damp walk lead by Gill starting from Stoke Bruerne via Shutlanger over fields and dales. We stopped at Stoke Bruerne Pavilions which Gill requested to be opened especially for us.

Eleven of us set out this morning from Stony Stratford on a varied walk taking in the River Ouse, the grand Union canal and the disused Buckingham Arm. We headed across the fields to Beachampton and Nash, fighting our way through some bramble covered stiles, and then back to the cars. Only one short shower and lots of ripe blackberries.

Today, 7 of us met in Newtown Linford, Leicestershire to explore the beautiful Bradgate Park.

On a largely warm and sunny day, Nick led us on a 12 mile route which firstly took us to the ruins of Bradgate House (once home to Lady Jane Grey- the 9 day Queen).

We then climbed upwards to both the War Memorial and Old John Tower.

Along our way, we were treated to stunning views and cloud formations, as well as several herds of beautiful fallow deer enjoying the sunshine.

Our lunchstop was on Beacon Hill, with fabulous views across to Loughborough.

We then returned via Woodhouse Eaves (where we 'accidentally' paused for a very enjoyable drink at 'The Wheatsheaf') and Swithiland Wood.

Thank you Nick for a really fabulous day of walking that was thoroughly enjoyed by all... and thank you to Paul for the bonus windmill and cave.

Wed 6.5m circular from Great Oxendon via Arthingworth and Braybrooke (passing dangerously close to the Braybrooke Brewery!).

Perfect weather for walking with great views. Nice pint of Harborough IPA in the George.

Nine of us set off from Hathersage travelling along Stanage Edge returning via Burbage Rock and Millstone Edge covering 14.5 miles.

In ideal walking conditions as an added treat we came back via the lovely Railway Cafe at Grindleford Station.

Another brilliant walk today led by Jenny. Starting in Woodford Halse we headed over some very dry fields to Moreton Pinkney then on to Eydon where we stopped for lunch at the great little cafe Ccrumbs. Back to Woodford Halse along the Macmillan Way and Jurassic Way.
