A few photos of our 15.5 mile walk in the Cotwolds. The rain stayed away and we even saw some sunshine. Lots of superb countryside and Cotswold villages with a vintage motorcycle rally for added interest. We climbed to Tysoe Windmill with views down to Compton Wynyates, (Lord Northampton's Cotswold home when he gets fed up with Castle Ashby!) and stopped for lunch in The Peacock at Tysoe.
Today we walked 13 miles from Newton Purcell, visiting the Tusmore Estate with its obelisk celebrating the Queen's jubilee, the 25 year old palladian style house which looks like it could be 200 years old and some beautiful parkland. After lunch in the Butcher's Arms at Fringford we walked through the more modest but still very attractive Shelswell Estate.
Some photos of today's excellent walk from Bugbrooke led by Derek. The weather was perfect and the scenery varied with canal, fields, villages and the views from Glassthorpe Hill. We enjoyed the hospitality of The Live and Let Live at Harpole for lunch.

We met at Draughton Crossing and headed off via Maidwell and Hanging Houghton, with a lunch stop at the Stables Cafe in Lamport Hall, and then back via Draughton Village.
A fabulous route, with such beautiful views and all enjoyed with great company. The perfect start to a weekend. Thank you Evelyn.![]()
Our group walked the 60 miles or so of the eastern section of the South Downs Way, from Amberley to Eastbourne, over four days. We had some fantastic weather, particularly along the Seven Sisters on the final day. We finished with a celebratory ice cream on the pier in Eastbourne.
