Today we walked 13 miles on the last section of the 66 mile D'Arcy Dalton Way. Starting in Epwell throught Shenington, Hornton, Shotteswell, Mollington and Farnborough finishing at Wormleighton Reservoir. A mixture of walking good paths across fields and battling with 10ft high maize where paths have not been reinstated and having to make our way around the edges of fields. Good company. Great day. Thank you David for organising and leading this long distance trail.

Thanks Ann for a lovely 12 ish mile walk! Starting from Newport Pagnell, crossing the River Great Ouse to Lathbury then on to Sherington. Lunch and a welcome pint at the Chester Arms pub, Chicheley were enjoyed. Then in the afternoon continued to Moulsoe before returning to Newport Pagnell for well deserved refreshments before heading for home.
A good turnout of 12 walkers despite the heat and, unusually for a Sunday, girls outnumbered boys 2:1! The Fleur de Lys at Woodford Halse provided a welcome respite from the heat at lunchtime.
The one handed clock at Culworth was missing a few weeks ago but it is back now and looks like it is freshly repainted.
Joy's excellent figure of eight walk from Hellidon. We visited the packhorse bridge at Charwelton and the picturesque village of Catesby. We had over an hour to wait for the afternoon leg to start so we were forced to have a couple of pints in the Red Lion. In the afternoon we learned that the two cedar trees in Priors Marston churchyard are named Trafalgar and Waterloo after when they were planted. Unfortunately branches are breaking so they may have to come down.
Many thanks to Charles for an excellent walk. We visited the Milking Oak in Salcey Forest and found time for coffee and ice cream as well as some lovely and sweet early blackberries. Luckily the Met Office yellow warning for thunderstorms proved to be a false alarm and we were even treated to afternoon tea and biscuits in Charles and Kath's back garden.
The penultimate leg of the d'Arcy Dalton Way today, walking between Great Rollright Church and the pub at Shenington, passing through the lovely Cotswold countryside and the attractive villages of Hook Norton, Sibford Ferris, Burdriop and Epwell.
