Access problems

Any problems should be reported to the County Council. Typical 'problems' are such as obstructed footpaths (by crops or locked gates), missing or damaged styles, or missing signposts at a road. For Northamptonshire, report these to:

Rights of Way,
Highway Services,
Riverside House,
Riverside Way,
Bedford Road,
Northampton,
NN1 5NX.

Phone 01604 654465.

email rightsofway@northamptonshire.gov.uk

The Institute of Public Rights of Way Officers gives contact details for other counties (in the directory).

If you tell me what you have reported I will put it into the status report.

Finding who owns the land may be getting easier, because details are being progressively added to the land reagistry website. It costs £2 per access, and for some reason you cannot access it on Sundays.
