Big Pathwatch. Short Morning walk of a leisurely 4½ miles. 10:30 start from The Stag's Head, High Street, Great Doddington, NN29 7TQ, SP 885650. Use pub car park. Pub lunch available after the walk. The Walk will look for features to report as part of the Big Pathwatch. Walking in the Nene Valley passing through Summer Leys Nature Reserve. A few stiles. Bob Entwistle.
Wednesday 2nd September
Morning walk of 7½ miles. 09:30 start from The Stag's Head, Harborough Road, Maidwell, NN6 9JA, SP 745770. Use the pub car park if eating there after the walk. Unsuitable for dogs. Peter Keeble. 30 walkersfinished at 12:25. 10 lunched in the pub, and 2 others had a drink. There were 2 stiles.
Saturday 5th September
Peak District walk of 11½ miles. Takes in Bradfield Moors and Dale Dike Reservoir. Meet the leader at the car-share from The Turnpike, Harpole Turn, Weedon Road at 07:00 for a walk starting from Low Bradfield Car Park SK 263921. Lunch alfresco. Maximum car sharing. Moderate walk with good views. Heather should be in full bloom. Unsuitable for dogs. Peter & Viv Mitchell.
Afternoon walk of 6 miles. 13:30 start from the junction of Vyse Road and Church Street, Boughton SP 752659. Walking via Pitsford Village and up to the picnic area at the end of the reservoir. A few stiles. Unsuitable for dogs. Peter Viner & Rosemarie Cook.

Morning walk of a leisurely 6½ miles. 09:45 start from Stoke Goldington, at The Lamb, MK16 8NR, SP 838486. Park in (small) car park if lunching in The Lamb after the walk. Walking through Stokepark Wood, Salcey Green and Tathall End. A few stiles. Unsuitable for dogs. Bernard & Anita Clark.

Afternoon walk of a leisurely 5¾ miles. 14:00 start from Greens Norton Playing Fields, Towcester Road SP 671500. Park in Medical Centre car park nearby on Towcester Road. Please do not park in playing fields car park. Leisurely walk via Potcote and Caswell, mostly level, some good views, includes a section of the Knightley Way and Greens Norton Pocket Park. The Battle of Northampton & The Big Pathwatch. Morning walk of 7 miles. 10:00 start from The Britannia, Bedford Road, Northampton, NN4 7AA, SP 779595. Park in pub car park. Pub lunch available after the walk. The walk will seek to identify features that could be recorded as part of The Big Pathwatch. The walk crosses the battlefield of the Battle of Northampton. No stiles. Bob Entwistle. 34 and a dog finished at 12:45. 18 lunched in the pub.

Afternoon walk of a leisurely 5½ miles. 14:00 start from Tyringham church, MK16 9ES, SP 859467. Park carefully on grass verges. No stiles. Steve Sayers & Kathy Finnegan.
Sunday 27th September
Big Pathwatch. Morning walk of 6½ miles. 10:00 start from The Royal Oak, Whiston Road, Cogenhoe, NN7 1NL, SP 832606. Park near the pub. Seeking to identify features that could be reported as part of the Big Pathwatch. The walk passes through Castle Ashby and Whiston with views over the Nene Valley, along the Nene Way and through Cogenhoe village. No stiles. Bob Entwistle. Started with 13 and a dog, finished with 11 walkers at 12:55. 5 took advantage of the pub.
Thames Path (15 of 16). Linear day walk of 14 miles. Depart CL at 07:30 prompt by minibus to Kelmscott. Leisurely walk to Cricklade for pick up and return to CL. Fully booked. Lunch alfresco. Unsuitable for dogs. David Craddock.

An Autumn Saunter. Afternoon walk of a leisurely 6¼ miles. 14:00 start from Harrold-Odell Country Park, Carlton Rd, Harrold, MK43 7DS, SP 956567. Free parking in Country Park car park, but donations welcomed. Café at the carpark. An undulating walk past lakes, a castle, a WW2 airfield, woods and fields. Some stiles. Richard Warr. Actually no stiles. Started with 12 women, 2 men and a dog, finished with 13 women, 2 men and a dog at 16:30.

Sandy and Everton Circular. Circular day walk of 9¾ miles. 10:00 start from Sandy, Bedfordshire TL 173492. Free parking off High St, signposted Tourist Information and opposite Mama's Coffee Shop. Lunch alfresco, drinks at Thornton Arms, Everton. We pass through the RSPB nature reserve at The Lodge which is free, so binoculars may be handy. Refreshments are also available at The Lodge. Takes in Roman Road to Tempsford Airfield, Joan's Wood, Hare's Home, Woodbury Sinks, Woodbury Estate, Everton, towards Deepdale, cross over to Long Riding Bridleway then to RSPB at The Lodge, then back to Sandy. No stiles. Unsuitable for dogs. Sue & Michael Holmes.
