Sunday 3rd September Six-village circular in the Cotswolds, with possible cream tea.. Circular day walk of about 12½ miles. CS 08:30 for a 10:00 start from Adlestrop's village hall car park SP 242273, off A436 Chipping Norton to Stow-on-the-Wold road, almost opposite the bus shelter. Voluntary parking charge. Lunch at The Red Lion in Little Compton, where our own food is OK in the gardens. The walk features Chastleton House (National trust) and goes via Cornwell, Daylesford and Lower Oddington. Lunch at White Horse Inn, Woodford, where our own food is OK. The walk covers five villages: Ringstead, Denford, Woodford, and Little & Great Addington. No dogs please. Tina & Joe Hedges. 6 at CS. 24 walkers. ¾-hr lunch break. Finished at 15:15.

Saturday 23rd September Afternoon walk of 6 miles. 14:00 start from Holdenby SP 694679. Park on the road next to the village green. No stiles, gentle climb, good tracks through Canks Farm and Glebe Lane, giving excellent views of beautiful rolling countryside. Maureen Bott
PEAK DISTRICT strenuous walk of about 13 miles. Depart from the cinema car park, Sixfields, Northampton at 07:00 for a drive to the walk start at the layby east of the Derwent reservoir on A57 SK 216874. Maximum car sharing. Bring full wet-weather clothing, packed lunch and drinks for an alfresco lunch. The walk takes in Hordron, Bamford and Stanage Edges, Derwent Moors and Wheel Stones White Tor. Allan Davies
Sunday 24th September The Grafton Way - Greens Norton to Wolverton. Linear walk of 13¼ miles. Meet 08:00 at CS. All cars to have a maximum of two people to travel to Agora Car Park, Church Street, Wolverton SP 818412, whence everybody travels in full cars to Greens Norton's Recreation Ground Car Park SP 670499 for the start of the walk. Lunch alfresco. David Craddock. 12 walkers.
Wednesday 27th September Morning walk of about 6 miles. 09:30 start from Badby, near the Post Office SP 560590. Please park considerately in the village. Food available after the walk at pubs in Badby or Newnham. The walk starts flat but gets hillier and features the Dowerhouse by Badby woods. Walking along The Nene Way to Newnham, to Little Everdon, and over the hill to Badby Woods. Bert Jones

Northamptonshire Area AGM. The Daventry Group, who are kindly hosting the AGM, has arranged two walks before it, starting from Weedon Bec Village Hall, West Street, Weedon SP 626593. The first walk option is 10 miles, starting at 08:30, led by Brian Davies, and requires a packed lunch. The second will be led by Sally Pearson, start at 11:45 and be 5-6 miles. Both walks will finish in time for the AGM at 15:00 in the village hall.

Morning & afternoon walks; morning 6.3 miles, afternoon 5.1. CS 08:40 for a 09:15 start from Greens Norton Recreation Ground SP 670499. Lunch at Royal British Legion Club, where our own food is OK. Afternoon starts at 13:00 from The Recreation Ground. No dogs please. Peter & Brenda Hawes. 5 at CS. 26 morning walkers. The party passed through Greens Norton at 11:30, which gave two walkers the opportunity to finish then, while the rest did a small extension that got us to the lunch stop at 12:00. 19 were in the club. 15 afternoon walkers did a slightly shortened walk finishing at 14:45, ½ hour before the rain set in. 11 did the whole walk.
