Figure of 8 walk; morning 7 miles, afternoon 5 miles. CS 09:20 for 09:40 start from The Compass, Milton Malsor SP 735555. Lunch at The Compass about 12:30, where our own sandwiches are OK.
Afternoon starts from there at 13:30, and should finish by 16:00. Morning is via Collingtree, Hunsbury Hill and the Northampton Arm; 9 stiles. Afternoon via The Grand Union and Blisworth; 5 stiles. John Tye. Morning 11 walkers, 10 in the pub, afternoon 7 walkers. Finished at 15:45. A showery day.

Circular day walk of 11 miles. CS 09:00 for 09:45 start from Maidwell, park on the grass verges 200-300 meters along the minor road from the A508 towards Cottesbrooke SP 745767. Lunch at Clipston. David Craddock. 5 at CS arrived 09:20 at Maidwell. 20 walkers. 5½ miles in morning. Lunch at Old Red Lion, where Kathy won shove-twopence. Finished at 16:00.
Wednesday 7th January Morning walk of 7½-8 miles. 09:30 start from High Street, Roade, at A508 end near the library SP 756517. Optional pub lunch after the walk. The walk touches the fringe of Milton Malsor and Collingtree village. Sheila Fitchett

Lunch in the Greyhound at Haynes, but our own food is not permissible inside the pub.
